Performance length:  40 minutes
In the first 10 minutes:
Selena invites all into the story of a group of faithful Jewish women who gather for worship services. As she shares their stories it becomes clear that this group is like many first century congregations. Some are faithful, some are faithful but confused, and one is more confused than faithful… or does this one believe at all? Selena has been sent by church leaders in Jerusalem to this group in Macedonia. She carries a basket of gifts including the letter from James.
In the following 30 minutes:
Selena leads the worship service, opening with the Lord’s Prayer, then sharing a few old testament scriptures and finally sharing the letter of James. This 30 minutes of the show is all scripture directly quoted.

Price:  $200 per performance
An additional travel fee may be added for groups far from Shoreline.
It should be noted that cameras and recording devices are not allowed.  Nor is it legal to reproduce the show.  I am happy to perform it again if you need me to.

Performance space requirements: An open space of 19 feet wide by 12 feet deep and 10 feet high is ideal for the performance.  If the stage space is smaller or oddly shaped and you are unsure, you can take a picture and text it to me.  Please plan ahead if pulpits or other things need to be moved.

Program and Reflection Insert:  The program that accompanies this show sets the tone for the performance.  There is an insert that invites reflection after the show.  Some groups use the reflection insert for post-show discussion groups and others leave it more as a quiet time after the show where music is played and individuals can reflect.  Here is a link to the REFLECTION INSERT.  This will help you plan your event.

My testimony about the show that sometimes comes out in the talk-back time:  I began this project not as an actor, but as a Christian searching for answers.  I found in the Book of James great rest.  It was only after I had memorized the book and was quoting it daily on my morning walks for some time, that I began to feel a call to publicly share what I was experiencing.  The desire grew.  In fact, I could not shake it.  The actor in me was deeply inspired by how the many themes tied together in very dramatic ways.  James had become a life giving spring.  It rooted me in a joy that held solid in the midst of conflict, rather than a nieve belief that love of Christ and peaceful words would make all conflict go away.  Is it not when we are overwhelmed with joy about what our Savior has done that it is easier to keep the tongue in check?... regardless of circumstances?  Anger is cooled by a realization of our own sin.  Entitlement dissapears when we need nothing but Chirst. Motives are purified when our desire is the growth of God's kingdom instead of our own..... freeing, isn’t it.  Please join me for worship of God through the book of James.  God has spent the last 6 years developing this presentation through me... and I promise you, it is in His word where true rest is found.
